Tag Gon Kim, Professor of EECE at KAIST,  is sponsoring a project to demonstrate the feasibility of a DEVS simulator standard. Participants in the project include Gabriel Wainer, Mamadou Traore, Jose Luis Risco Martin, Saurabh Mittal and Chungman Seo. They will attempt to provide a proof of concept to show how DEVS simulators, written in different programming languages, can interoperate employing standard interfaces for DEVS abstract simulators. They will use the DEVS/SOA execution environment that employs standard web service technologies to provide DEVS compliant modeling and simulation services.  The results are expected to have significant implications for world-wide collaborations consisting of both DEVS and non-DEVS simulations.
